FAIRS is transmitting LIVE from 2010 Floyd Harvest Festival & County Fair in downtown Floyd!  

Members of FARS (Floyd Amateur Radio Society) and guests are transmitting on 20 and 40 meters.

Breakfast was served by Natasha's at the Market this morning -hosted by Sustain Floyd.  Beautiful flowers and crafts, and exhibitors are readying their displays - come on by!

10:00am - it's only now the official start time of the Festival, but the Market is full of happy eaters!  Elaine Braley of Natasha's says they've whipped up a lot of breakfast, and they're continuing to prepare more.  Early arrivals were thankful for the firstfruits of the day.

Now they are able to amble through town, and check out the various contest displays by Floyd Merchants.  It is the 1st Annual Harvest Festival Display Contest. The themes for this year are harvest, heritage and sustainability.  Good luck to the participants!

It is encouraged that visitors show their support by visiting each location and casting ballot for your favorite display.

Come and listen in to special event station N4USA at Floyd Village Green, Suites 8 and 9!  Ham radio operators are ready to inform about emergency preparedness and goodwill through amateur radio!
