FAIRS work continues in Dominica

Thirty-three. That’s how many trips David (KK4WW) and Gaynell (KK4WWW) Larsen have made to Dominica for community service and amateur radio work. The most recent visit was in February 2025. While there, FAIRS provided funds for food, paint, and other supplies for the Trafalgar School through Gloria Walsh and the “Love One Teach One Foundation”. Gaynell was able to meet with the children and provide refreshments and food for them on behalf of FAIRS and its contributors.

Clement (J73CPL) and Hetty Pierre-Louis (J73HPL) have hosted David and Gaynell in their home in Castle Bruce for the past twenty-five years. Clement and Hetty are active in the Dominica Amateur Radio Club, and through the years, FAIRS has helped provide funds and equipment to the club. Here is a link to a video tour of the clubhouse – Dominica Amateur Radio Club Site. The club provides an important service of reliable backup communications in times of emergency or disaster.
